“I feel that it is important to create a trusting, accepting relationship with my clients in which they can feel comfortable doing the challenging work of personal growth. My approach is an eclectic balance between several, proven-effective, theoretical approaches including (but certainly not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Reality Therapy while consistently maintaining the belief that individuals are highly resilient and have the desire and internal resources to improve their lives, given the right tools. I believe strongly, when working with children, in the importance of also working with their parents/ guardians. I hold the belief that parents/guardians have the most power to effect positive change in their children and that often implementing a new parenting approach can cause significant change in a child and family as a whole. I also enjoy supporting individuals and families through various life transitions including, relationship changes, children‘s move to different schools/ environments, pre/post-partum support for parents, as well as many other age-based transitions. I have clinical experience working with clients dealing with anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, self-esteem issues, physical/ sexual abuse, and family/ relationship struggles. Please feel free to email me with any questions at MDoubraskiLPC@gmail.com.”
