Elaine S. LeVine, Ph.D, ABMP is a medical psychologist who specializes in family psychotherapy and psychotropic management of mental disorders. She has been a tenured professor and adjunct faculty at New Mexico State University and has maintained a private practice for over 40 years. Dr LeVine has published three scholarly books and numerous journal articles on various aspects of human development, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology.

Martin Greer, Ph.D.  has been a licensed psychologist in independent practice with The Center Through the Looking Glass  since 1990.  Dr. Greer has also worked in special education, early intervention, and psychiatric hospital settings.  Further, Dr. Greer conducts psychological evaluations for adults who are suspected of having neurocognitive disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and to clarify mental health diagnosis in complex cases . Finally,  Dr. Greer conducts psychological evaluations for individuals being considered for bariatric surgery.  Dr. Greer accepts referrals from individuals, parents, medical practices, government agencies, and mental health providers.

Marlin Hoover, Ph.D., MSCP., ABPP, is a prescribing psychologist in New Mexico and a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois.  Dr. Hoover is board certified in clinical psychology and medical psychology. He earned a Ph.D. in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Chicago and a Postdoctoral Masters in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Hoover continues to teach clinical psychopharmacology as an adjunct faculty member for New Mexico State University and Fairleigh Dickenson University.

Dr. Hoover began private practice in the Chicago area in 1985. He was on the faculty of Saint Xavier University at Chicago and was chair of the Department of Psychology there.   In 2007 he joined the faculty of the Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency in Las Cruces where he taught resident physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and clinical pharmacists until his retirement in 2019. He has done research and publications on the relationship between personality and heart disease, training of psychologists, training of physicians, and validation of personality tests.

Dr. Hoover is a member of the American Psychological Association, the New Mexico Psychological Association, the State Psychological Association of New Mexico, the Illinois Psychological Association, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Mary C. Greer (Carrie) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Adoption Counselor.

I have been a licensed Clinical Social Worker in NM since 1997.  I have worked in psychiatric settings with all populations and as a supervisor in community social work. I have worked as a LCPS social worker.  I am also a Certified New Mexico Adoption professional and conduct home studies, adoption relinquishments, and adoption-related counseling.

I use Brief Solution focused therapy, cognitive therapy, narrative therapy, EFT (also known as Tapping), and mindfulness as my primary therapeutic approaches. When we are able to be back in the office, I look forward to doing experiential work with my clients using art, cinema and journaling.

Anne L. Daly, LCSW…. I am a psychotherapist living and working in New Mexico, The Land of Enchantment.  I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and, as I traveled along my life path, I have lived in Scotland, Canada, the East coast of the United States, Vermont, and New Mexico.

Along the way, I acquired a husband, two sons, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science degree in clinical social work from the School of Social Work at Columbia University in New York.

My work as a psychotherapist has included working with adults, couples and families. I have practiced in psychiatric hospitals, schools, and private practice. 

Through my experience, I have arrived at an abiding belief in the ability of the individual to adapt, change for the better, and take control, even in the face of severe difficulties.

 

Jared J. Gonzales, Ph. D., is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of New Mexico and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. He was a school psychologist for six years, where he completed individual therapy, group therapy. He has worked with the adult population as a result of completing three years of doctoral clinical practicum at the Center Through the Looking Glass and Mesilla Valley Hospital. During this time, he conducted individual and group therapy in both inpatient and private practice settings. He collaborated with his supervisor and conducted psychological evaluations, pre-op bariatric evaluations, dementia evaluations, and pre-op neuro-stimulator surgery evaluations.

He conducts psychological evaluations for adults to clarify mental health diagnoses in complex cases and for individuals being considered for bariatric surgery.

Dr. Gonzales utilizes an integrated approach to therapy and tries to match interventions with the unique needs of the individual. He utilizes a relational psychodynamic approach to therapy, with the combination of 2nd and 3rd generation Cognitive Behavioral interventions.

Melody Moore, PhD, MSCP, is a prescribing psychologist in New Mexico and a licensed psychologist in Texas. Dr. Mel specializes in women throughout the lifespan and children. She has experience with substance use disorders, chronic medical problems, chronic pain, prenatal and perinatal, and children with emotional and behavioral disorders. She is holistic and integrative in her approach and prescribes and deprescribes psychotropic medication. She sees patients primarily through telehealth and is available in office upon request. 

 

 

Cheryl L. Hall, Ph.D., MSCP has been in full time private practice since 1998 and is a licensed psychologist in Texas and New Mexico. She is a licensed specialist in School Psychology as well and prior entering private practice she worked as a consultant for the public school system. In addition, she was a staff psychologist at a residential treatment center for children and adolescents. Currently she provides services for adults and specializes in individual therapy, medication management and psychological evaluations for certain populations. She earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1995 from Texas Tech University and completed a year of clinical internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. In 2001 she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology from a joint program through Texas A & M University and the California School of Professional Psychology.  Other degrees include a M.A in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL (1984) and a B.A. from Hanover College in Hanover, IN (1982).

Dr. Hall is currently a Prescribing Psychologist Intern working toward independent prescribing of medications for mental health disorders in the state of New Mexico. She is a member of the State Psychological Association in NM, a long-time member and past president of the Texas Psychological Association (2028), a member of the South Plains Association for Psychologists and the American Psychological Association.  She is a member of Division 55 which is the APA division for psychologists interested in prescriptive authority and psychopharmacology. Dr. Hall has been the Chair of the Psychopharmacology Division for the Texas Psychological Association for many years. She has received state and national awards for her efforts to establish a law to include prescribing psychologists in the mental health workforce in Texas.

In 2020 Dr. Hall received the Texas Psychological Association’s Psychologist of the Year award for her active service to the association in many roles and long history of legislative advocacy for mental health, for the psychology profession, and for prescriptive authority for specially trained psychologists.

Julie Peters, PhD, MSCP, is a conditional prescribing psychologist in New Mexico and a licensed clinical health psychologist in NJ and NY.  She has been working with adults in private practice in NJ for over 20 years and specializes women’s health issues.  Her approach is present-focused and solution-oriented, and she utilizes a warm and interactive therapy style.  Most recently, in 2020, Dr. Peters graduated with a post-doctoral degree in psychopharmacology and is especially interested in combining the best of what therapy and pharmacology, when needed, has to offer, to achieve optimal balance.
